Working from the Cheri Clinic on Auckland’s North Shore, I  run a full time hypnotherapy practice. At 34 years old I have been practicing hypnotherapy for 4 years and during this time have held over 2100 hypnosis sessions Having trained both in New Zealand, London and in the 5-Path Hypnotherapy system from Cal Banyan California. I have a wealth of experience to share with my clients.

My philosophy is to work with the core foundation and beliefs of a person. As the foundation of how a person thinks about themselves changes, so do their behaviours. There are typically fours areas that have people behaving in ways that  logical they don’t want to. The responses are usually a result of emotion which take the form, of distracting behaviour, anxiety and bad habits.

Overcoming distracting behavior, or emotion crutches. While the following may look quite different, they are from my perspective, very similar. Over eating, gambling, excessive drinking, excessive smoking, excessive drug use.  They all provide a means for a person to temporarily move away from discomfort.  Think of panadol. When you feel good they just sit forgotten in a bathroom draw. It is only when you get a headache that you go to use them to prop yourself up. Distracting behaviours are the same. When you feel down, and some people feel down an awful lot, then they  use their distracting behavior, what ever that may be.  Using hypnosis we create an internal feeling where life just feels easier, you feel more relaxed, and because of that, those old behviours are forgotten.

Anxiety. Is a fear response. Usually learned at an early age and if constantly responded to generally becomes worse over time. Using hypnosis we look to either desensitize the feeling, or remove the initial thought process that created it in the first place.

Bad habits. Bad habits come about from a repetitive behavior. There  are bad habits that are still reinforced due to something occurring in your life today (take a little more time to change). And habits that were learned at an earlier time in our lives, and are not being reinforced in the present(usually changed quite quickly).

Motivation Confidence Self Esteem.- Our life experience from day one and how we interpret the events around us as we grow up affect this internal measurement about ourselves that me call self esteem. We use hypnosis to bolster how we think and feel about ourselves. We gain clarity into what we really want in our lives, that then gives us the motivation to go out and make things happen. We increase our confidence by breaking through fears, or creating understanding at an emotional level that they are not even real.

These are the ways I can use can use hypnosis with you, to help create a better life.
